ABOUT THIS PROJECT
For the redesign of the Fabrik exhibition at the Montreal Science Centre, Robocut Studio created FABRIK2, a space highlighting “Thinkering” and Montreal’s unique identity. In collaboration with Le Séisme for the visuals, we designed the new furniture and four interactive challenges based on invention and prototyping using recycled materials, while integrating scientific concepts (center of gravity, leverage, etc.). The main challenge was to furnish and create all-new interactives in a 4,000 square foot glass-enclosed space in a coherent manner, reusing existing furniture and updating certain elements.
