The company is looking for a Finishing Specialist / Workshop Technician to join our creative team. You will actively participate in the design and execution of interactive exhibitions and custom furniture for museum environments.
MAIN TASKS
- Project Execution: Perform all production-related tasks.
- Assembly: Assemble components of interactive exhibitions following precise plans.
- Surface Preparation: Sanding, cleaning, and priming furniture or wood pieces for finishing.
- Application of Finishes: Painting, varnishing, lacquering, or any other specific techniques required for the projects.
- Quality Control: Check the conformity of the finishes against the company’s standards and customer expectations.
- Touch-ups: Make necessary corrections to achieve visual and technical perfection in finished pieces.
- Documentation of Procedures: Record techniques and materials used for each project to ensure continuity and quality.
RELATED TASKS
- Technological Integration: Incorporate technological elements such as touch screens and sensors into wooden structures.
- Creation of Pieces: Create functional and aesthetic pieces suitable for public interaction.
- Collaboration with Designers: Work with designers to meet specific project requirements.
- Installation and Maintenance: Participate in installation and provide support for maintenance and repairs.
- Maintenance: Maintain tools and equipment.
- Stock Management: Manage material stocks.
- Interdepartmental Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments.
- Process Improvement: Contribute to process improvement.
- Customer Service: Provide customer service during installation.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Technical Skills in Cabinetry: Mastery of woodworking techniques from design to execution.
- Technical Expertise: Extensive experience and advanced skills in wood finishing techniques.
- Artistic Sense: A keen eye for aesthetic details and the ability to visualize the final product.
- Adaptability: Ability to work on diverse projects requiring specific techniques.
- Autonomy and Initiative: Ability to make independent decisions while adhering to guidelines and timelines.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to find creative solutions to technical and design challenges.
- Attention to Detail: Precision in the manufacturing and finishing of pieces.

- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Academic Qualifications: A degree in cabinetmaking or a related field is preferable.
ASSETS
- MIG/TIG Welding.
- Design Knowledge: Understanding of design principles, including interaction design and scenography.
- Technological Aptitudes: Ability to integrate interactive technologies (such as sensors, electronics, software) into wooden creations.
